Set & shot entirely on the Native American Indian Communities in Southern Arizona, GAIA, is a brutally realistic, authentic slice of life.

A group of Native Americans discover a young woman, left for dead, in the Arizona desert and take her to their reservation. Through her relationship with American Natives she manages to re-connect with her own innocence, but is forced to make a choice between being reborn out of the chaos of her past and dying in the grips of her darkness.

In my mind what makes Gaia truly great is the visual splendor of the film and the poetry of its storytelling. I was weeping at several occasions in the story – and left the theatre feeling I had been transformed along with the main character.

I really appreciated Gaia as a piece of art. I've never experienced a film where so few words are spoken yet is so brutally honest. GAIA premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2009 and was produced for about $28,000. The majority of those funds were received as donations through a national non-profit partner on the film- Childhelp (https://www.childhelp.org/gaia-donate).

There is limited space for these screenings and RSVPs are required.

We are requesting a $15 donation at the door. Donations will go toward the continued "outreach" of the film and eventually shared with Childhelp and the Native American communities in Arizona.

More is welcome, less is fine and no one will be turned away!
