Your nonrefundable $250.00 deposit made payable to Circles of Women South Central reserves your space for the weekend. The balance of your tuition is due 30 days prior to the weekend you are attending.

Once we receive your deposit we will send you an acknowledgement of your confirmation. If for any reason you do not receive confirmation, please contact our office to ensure that your deposit was received.

Approximately 5 weeks prior to the training weekend you are scheduled to attend, please expect to receive a packet from us via e-mail. We will need you to process and return this packet to us within 10 days. Upon receipt of this packet of information and about 7-10 days prior to the training weekend we will send you a map to the retreat facility along with a roster of participants and carpooling information.

The E-Circle Weekend Intensive Training is a condensed version of the traditional 8-week format conducted over one weekend. This training offers the same processes and tools as the 8-week version, and is facilitated by experienced, trained guides from the CWSC community.

The E-Circle Weekend Intensive gives you the opportunity to continue the work you began on your weekend and do it supported, affirmed and safe in a circle of empowered women.

The upcoming E-Circle Weekend Intensive will be held on:

Saturday, August 28th 9:00am - 5:00pm and

Sunday, August 29th 9:00am - 3:00pm

The Blossom Center has a small kitchen with refrigerator and microwave available, so please bring your lunch, drinks and snacks. Please wear comfortable, casual clothes.

The fee for the Weekend Intensive Training is $125.00.

If you did not have the opportunity to attend an E-Circle after your weekend, we do hope this training will allow you to continue the journey you began on your weekend. There are no words to communicate the gifts I have received from my E-circle, tools that have helped me in my relationship with myself, my husband and my children My life is richer and fuller than I ever dreamed. I have boundaries, I can effectively listen and communicate and my desire is to share the gift of this expereince with other women.

Presented by Circles of Women South Central in conjunction with the Empowered Girl Alliance, we are offering an exciting and engaging weekend experience for adolescent girls 13 years-old through 12th grade.

Girls will embark on an interactive journey of self-discovery that builds the awareness, skills, and confidence they need to live happy, fulfilling, and empowered lives.

Program Fee: $500.The tuition fee covers full lodging, meals, snacks, transportation and program materials for the Empowered Girls Training Weekend. The fee includes ongoing support and participation through the EGA Mentorship Exchange and EG Circle Integration Programs. A $100 non-refundable deposit made payable to Circles of Women South Central reserves your space for the EGA Weekend. The balance of your tuition is due 30 days prior to the EGA Weekend you are attending.Once we receive your deposit we will send you a confirmation of your registration. If for any reason you do not receive confirmation, please contact our office to ensure that your deposit was received.

The parent or guardian of a girl who cannot afford the Weekend fee may request Financial Assistance from CWSC. Our Financial Assistance Policy is to honor and acknowledge a request for assistance and provide partial financial aid to a limited number of girls each weekend.

Cancellation Policy: We will refund your paid fee (less the $100 non-refundable deposit) if we receive your cancellation notice in writing no less than 30 days prior to the first day of the weekend for you have paid. If cancelled after that time, your paid fee (less the $100 non-refundable deposit) will be transferred to another weekend of your choice within one year of your initial registration. Absolutely no refunds or transfers will be given once you have registered for and arrived at the EGA Training Weekend. Should you decide to leave the EGA Weekend for any reason and at any time prior to the final session on Sunday, you will forfeit your entire registration fee of $500.

Behind the Scenes of a Woman Within Weekend

Practicums are for learning, sharing and expanding your Woman Within experience at all levels. This is a great opportunity to hone your skills, ask questions, practice and to learn how to become a more grounded facilitator. Each practicum is unique depending on the wants of the women who come to participate.

The practicum is required for all Facilitators and FIT's who are staffing the upcoming Woman Within Weekend, however you DO NOT need to be on the facilitation track to benefit from these amazing evenings.

There is no charge to this fun and exciting experience.

Participants will explore all aspects of themselves — body, mind, heart, and spirit — in a variety of ways including storytelling, sharing, movement and an opportunity to explore their creativity.

This transformational journey begins with the weekend and continues over the course of a year . For the following 12 months after the weekend the girls will meet with their EGA mentors and other Empowered Girls to deepen their relationships and provide support for one another.

Reflections of a Powerful Teenager

Circles of Women South Cental was thrilled to host a new workshop called "Reclaiming Your Teenage Power" on Saturday, July 10th. This training provided women with an opportunity to take a walk back in time and revisit their teenage experience, and to explore and transform any wounds or false beliefs that may have developed in those important years. It was an incredible and illuminating journey for the 28 women who participated. Based on the common experience and feedback received afterwards, we are planning on holding this workshop again in the future. Please check the Circles of Women calendar and enews for new dates over the coming months.

This workshop was developed and presented by Laurie Riedman from New York, and is used as a tool to prepare women and mentors who will participate in the Empowered Girls Alliance Program, however, any woman is welcome who would like to reconnect with her teenager. We were delighted to have three Empowered Girls, Danika, Daidre and Taylor, join us from the New York EGA Program to support and bless the women on their journey. The Empowered Girls also shared their perspective and teenage wisdom with us during Sunday's Mentor Training, which is required for all women who will mentor girls following the Texas Empowered Girls Weekend in September 2010. Having the opportunity to witness and hear the Empowered Girl's stories encouraged and inspired many of the women to say "YES" to serving as a mentor for a teen girl.

On Sunday evening an EGA Information Meeting was held to provide parents, friends and teen girls an opportunity to learn more about the EGA Program. The Empowered Girls shared their experience and stories with the teen guests, and provided a place for the girls to ask questions away from the adults. This structure was a success with the teen guests, and convinced many of them to register for the upcoming Empowered Girl Alliance Weekend.

To provide some clarity - these workshops are not required to staff the EGA Weekend and are only required if you want to mentor a girl following the weekend. Staff Applications for the EGA Weekend are still open. Please apply at www.circlesofwomen.com/forms/EGStaffApplication
The Texas EGA Weekend will be held on September 9-12th in Livingston, Texas. The weekend is limited to 16 girls and is filling up quickly. If you know a girl who would benefit from this experience, please register at www.circlesofwomen.com/en/cev/89

Passing of Yvonne Taylor

For those of you who did not know Yvonne, she was a wonderful friend, an inspirational woman and long serving guide and member of the facilitation team, who helped to set up the Woman Within weekends in the UK and then recently achieved her long held dream to take the weekends to South Africa. If you came into contact with Yvonne you would notice her quiet, gentle, caring, nature, her eyes full of deep wisdom, and her heartfelt desire for healing and opportunities for healing to take place.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Yvonne's family, and our sisters of Transitions Europe during this time of loss and sadness.

As was announced last week, the Woman Within International and Circles of Women SC communities have suffered the loss of a queen, a mentor, a leader and a sister with the death of Gaye Hall on Friday, May 14th. A TIME TO HONOR STACIE GREENE

We are pleased to announce that the Board has chosen to honor and recognize Stacie Greene as an Angel of Service Volunteer.

Stacie attended her weekend in April 2007, and has served as our Weekend Supplies Goddess for the past two years. Upon stepping into this role, she completely reorganized the weekend supply boxes and our inventory lists. Whether she staffs a weekend or not, Stacie has replenished all supplies needed, handled reservations of the Uhaul trucks and served as the contact person for the weekend Supplies Staff. Because of her exceptional organizational skills, the "Walmart run" has not been needed on the past few weekends.

Recently Stacie has been very generous with her time in assisting with the move to Camp Cho-Yeh. She participated in the "infamous" relocation adventure when the weekend supplies were moved from Legue City to Humble. She also helped with procuring supplies needed for the new site, updating the supplies inventory and was responsible for rewriting the new WWTW Supplies Job Descriptions. Stacie is a beautiful, gentle and loving woman, and the board is truly grateful for her gifts, her dedication and her support. We appreciate you Stacie!!

February Weekend Cancellation Notice

Regretfully, the Circles of Women South Central Board of Directors made the decision this week to cancel the February 4-7, 2010 Woman Within Training Weekend at the CRC due to low participant enrollment.

We need your help to ensure that our weekends are full, and our community continues to flourish and grow.

Please share your story with your women friends and family. Invite women to an Open Circle or other events offered in our community. Encourage them to attend and to give themselves the gift of the Weekend. Remember, it takes all of us to make our Weekends happen!!

If you wish to apply to staff one of our remaining Weekends in 2010, please complete a staff application online at www.circlesofwomen.com.

Houston, November 2, 2009 The Circles of Women South Central Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Gayle Jamail has been elected to serve as our new E-Circle Coordinator.

Gayle has a genuine calling for the sacred work and space that E-Circles provide for our members. Our community has been blessed by her generous gifts of time and energy for many years in guiding E-Circles, leading Weekend Intensive E-Circles, One Day Staff Trainings and as a member of the facilitation track. Gayle's passion for our work and supporting women has carried her to the ends of the Earth by staffing in almost every location where Woman Within trainings have been held.

We appreciate Gayle for her wisdom, experience and grace, and we are grateful for her willingness to serve the community in this new role. Please welcome and congratulate Gayle as she begins this new journey!

Circles of Women offers a variety of opportunities for those who wish to stay connected after the Woman Within Weekend training. Joining an Empowerment Circle offers a place where communication skills and group dynamics are further experienced and refined in small groups. Many women choose to support Circles of Women by volunteering their time and resources. Women have also created couples groups, mixed-gender groups, and wisdom circles (for women over 50). Empowered Girl Training Weekend

Presented by Circles of Women South Central in conjunction with the Empowered Girl Alliance, we are offering an exciting and engaging weekend experience for adolescent girls ages 13 years-old through 12th grade. The tuition fee covers full lodging, meals, snacks, transportation and program materials for the Empowered Girl Training Weekend. Pay My Staffing Fee

Staffing fees offset the costs of lodging and expenses associated with each staff member for the weekend. While the actual cost per person is approximately $175 per staff member per weekend, the Board of Directors has voted to subsidize this expense to honor and support the volunteers who donate their time and commitment to this community. The current fee is $125 per staff member per weekend and covers lodging and meal expenses from Friday morning through Sunday brunch. If you wish to support the Circles of Women South Central by paying more than the required fee, it is greatly appreciated.

8 Week Guided E-Circle: This training is offered at the completion of each Woman Within® Training Weekend. The circle meets on a weekly basis from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm over 8 weeks and training is facilitated by experienced, trained volunteers from the CWSC community

The cost of the Guided E-Circle is $125 and covers the cost of materials and a small stipend for the guides. Please pay your fee by the 3rd week.
